Patching is important as it fixes bugs and vulnerabilities in the software. Microsoft releases the patch for all their Windows products every month and in order to keep our Windows bug-free and nonvulnerable we need to install those patches.
Every Organisation uses SCCM to push patches to all the Windows machines and Servers, which was then downloaded by each server/machine using the sccm client.
In this process, every server uses a considerable amount of space in ccmcache folder, which in a few months may decrease your free space in the drive if not cleared on a regular interval.
In this article, we are going to provide you a PowerShell script that will clear the ccmcache from all the Windows servers in your environment and provide you an excel report with the amount of free space before and after the cleanup. You can schedule this script to run on a monthly basis to save unnecessary space utilization.
